What it is
Cling is an aim-and-timing game for the browser. Sticky, a gecko, hangs from a grip on a brick wall. An arrow sweeps from side to side, and when you tap, Sticky leaps in the direction it points at that instant.
If a grip is within Sticky's reach when it lands, Sticky hangs on and the camera climbs. If not, it falls and the run ends. Each grip also cracks and crumbles a while after Sticky grabs it, so you cannot wait forever: you have to choose your moment. Sometimes a second grip appears on the other side, and you decide which one to leap to. Every grip earns a point. If you land near the center of a grip, the leap is perfect and adds a bonus, which grows with each perfect in a row up to a cap. The more grips you reach, the faster the arrow sweeps and the smaller the margin for a catch.
With a finger or the mouse
With a finger or the mouse: tap anywhere on the screen to leap. The first tap starts the run, and another tap at the end restarts it.
With the keyboard
With the keyboard: the space bar makes Sticky leap. Escape or the P key pauses the game.
Daily challenge
Pick “Daily challenge” on the start screen or after a run. On that day everyone climbs the same wall, and your best score for today is saved separately on your own device. Today’s challenge is the same for everyone on each difficulty, and each one keeps its own best score.
Difficulty
You can play Normal, Hard or Extreme. On the last two the arrow sweeps faster, the grips are smaller and crumble sooner. Each keeps its own best score.
